Dr. William Glass ('92), Adjunct Professor in the Bible & Theology
Department, is celebrating 20 years of his weekly Sunday morning halfhour
radio program " The Message That Brings Change " on WCEI 96.7
FM, which airs at 9:05 a.m. and is also live-streamed. He also received
two Maryland Commendation Medals for his service as a chaplain in
the Maryland State Guard for the Maryland Defense Force and the 70th
Regiment 1st Battalion.
Dr. Stephen Grusendorf ('16), Adjunct Professor in the Church & Ministry
Leadership Department, recently published his first book, " Aftermath:
A Book for the Spiritually Wounded. " The book is for those who have
been burned, bruised or wounded in the church and is an invitation to
rediscover Jesus in the aftermath-that difficult, pivotal period following a

Dr. Mark Farnham, Professor in the Bible & Theology Department, has
co-authored an ethics book published by Kregel Publications titled " Talking
About Ethics: A Conversational Approach to Moral Dilemmas. " The volume
addresses a number of important ethical issues from the standpoint of
three college students in conversation with one another. This style makes
the issues more understandable as the students talk, debate and listen to
each other's views on the topics. It is a very readable introduction to many
pressing ethical issues today.
Dr. Justin Harbin, Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning and
Assistant Professor in the Education Department, co-presented with Dr.
Eric Brandt, Director of Digital Learning and Assistant Professor in the
Office of Digital Learning, at the 2021 ABHE Annual Meeting on " The
Crafting and Delivery of Exemplary Online Education. "
Keith Kauffman ('09), Adjunct Professor in the Arts & Sciences Department,
was published in the January edition of the journal Science Immunology,
detailing his recent work in immunotherapy and tuberculosis. Also in
January, Kauffman published an article titled " The COVID Vaccine and
Christian Unity " in The Gospel Coalition.
Dr. Ryan Kuehner, Chair of the Counseling & Social Work Department
and Director of the Master's in Professional Counseling Programs for
the Lancaster campus, along with two of his graduate students, has
begun data collection on a collaborative research study, " Phenotypic
Characterization of SETD1A Gene Mutation in the Old Order Amish. " The
research is in partnership with the Columbia University Department of
Psychiatry, Oryzon (biopharmaceutics) and the University of Maryland
School of Medicine Amish Research Clinic.
Dr. Sophia Ogunlana ('06), Program Director of Clinical Mental Health
Counseling at LBC | Capital - Washington, D.C., received Institutional
Review Board approval for research on " The Effects of Psychoeducation
and Role of Wellness Strategies on a College Student at a Christian
Institution, " along with Visiting Professor Dr. Kevin Jackson and alumni
Kenneth Bond ('18), Brenda Chavis ('18) and Denise Owens ('19).
