1960s
William H. Nehrke (WBC '67) is working on
PIP (Prayer in Place) for Spotsylvania County,
Virginia, an outgrowth of the America Pray Now
organization for cities in and around Virginia. He is
also setting up Shalom House, which is a log home
on Lake Anna, Va., where Christian workers, pastors,
missionaries and fellow alumni can get away for a
few days at the lake at no cost.

1980s
Rev. Kevin S. Bushart ('84)
transferred his ordination
credentials to the Global
Methodist Church, effective
Jan. 1, 2023. He had previously
served in the United Methodist
Church since 1992. He will
continue to serve Means
Methodist Church, Andrews,
Texas, where he is the senior pastor since June
2020, with the congregation also moving to the
Global Methodist Church. Kevin and his wife, Kim,
have been married for 34 years and have served
churches in Kentucky, New Mexico and Texas.
1990s
David C. Forwood ('95) is
currently an Employment
Specialist/Job Creator at
Lighthouse Vocational Services
in New Holland, Pa. On a daily
basis, Dave has the privilege
of working with adults with
intellectual disabilities, teaching
them job skills and assisting
them in whatever way he can so they can be
successful, valued and fulfilled at their jobs. A
varied work history and education in both Christian
Education at LBC and a master's in Professional
Counseling from Liberty University are being
uniquely used by God.
2000s
Shaun C. Smithson ('02) was announced as the
first Executive Vice President of Club Sports for
the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Most
recently, Smithson served as the Maryland State
Director and the Mid-Atlantic Talent Advancement
Director for FCA.

Julie (Zine CBS '08) Coleman
has a new book, " On Purpose:
Understanding God's Freedom
for Women Through Scripture "
(Kregel Publications, 2022). She
provides an in-depth study on
each of the biblical passages
often taught to limit women in
the church and home. Julie currently serves on the
pastoral team at New Hope Chapel in Arnold, Md., and
speaks at conferences, retreats and special events in
other churches. " On Purpose " also won the Advanced
Writers and Speakers Association's Golden Scrolls
Book of the Year.
William (Billy) Harrison ('09)
is employed as an Assistant
High School Principal in the
Oley Valley School District. Billy
and his wife, Kristi, have been
married for nine years. They
are the proud parents of two
beautiful daughters: Caroline, 3,
and Emily, 1. They reside in Berks County, Pa., where
they both grew up.
Hannah (Noble '09) Johnson
and her husband, Jan, of Fawn
Grove, Pa, welcomed their
second child on Aug. 4, 2022.
Zebedee Noble was greeted at
home by big brother Nehemiah
Elias, born in 2020. Hannah is a
stay-at-home mom, pursuing
creative writing endeavors, having achieved a
master's degree in Creative Writing from Trinity
Theological Seminary and College of the Bible,
and Jan recently accepted the position of Safety
Manager (CSP) at York Wallcoverings.
1970s
Jeffrey A. Watson (CBS '76 &
'79) is delighted to announce
his new daily devotional, " Jesus
and Mary on the Bittersweet
Path " (Covenant Books, 190
pages).
Jon Barnes (WBC '03)
recently published his second
book, " Brand Thyself! How to
Create, Leverage, and Love
Your Personal Brand. " Now
available on Amazon in print,
Kindle and Audible versions,
" Brand Thyself! " focuses on the
power of your personal brand and how to leverage
it in pursuit of your unique goals and calling. The
book is intended for business leaders, owners,
entrepreneurs, ministry leaders and professionals
of all kinds.
Mandi (Wissler '05)
Bymoen and her husband,
Todd, happily welcomed their
daughter, Tirzah, on Sept. 14,
2022. She is already much
loved, especially by her big
brother, Boaz!
