Dr. Ronald Gibson went home to be
with the Lord on Dec. 28, 2022, at
the age of 88. Dr. Gibson joined the
LBC family in 1965 and taught various
courses in the Bible, Biblical Counseling
and Pastoral Studies departments. He
wore many " hats " at LBC, including
Athletic Director, Coach and Dean of
Men. While serving as a professor, he
was pastor at Calvary Bible Church
of Mount Joy and later at Christian
Fellowship Church in New Holland. He
departed full-time teaching at LBC in 1992 for his pastor role
and continued in an adjunct faculty role through at least 2009.
Ron had a faithful partner, supporter and encourager in his wife
of 65 years, Donna. Their three daughters-Rhonda Cochran
('79), Tammi Nash ('81) and Josie Feeman ('83)-all attended
LBC. For decades, the Gibsons partnered with LBC in serving,
praying, giving and influencing, leaving an enduring legacy on
the lives of countless students. For their service to the college,
the Gibsons were honored with the Barnabas Award in 1992
and the Mantle of Leadership Award in 2003. Additionally, Ron
was awarded the rank of Distinguished Professor in 2006, and
a student lounge in the upper level of Miller Hall was named
Gibson Lounge in his honor. In a 2006 letter to then-President
Peter W. Teague, Dr. Gibson shared, " It was by God's astounding
grace that He has equipped and allowed me to serve Him as
a teacher and pastor. I rejoice in the privilege and blessing I
have had to teach and serve at Lancaster Bible College for over
forty years. " Besides his wife and daughters, he is survived by 10

from 2003 to 2013, where he served
as Bible & Theology Department Chair.
At LBC | Capital, he was a Professor of Theology from 2013
