Echo Winter 2025 - 21

This fall, LBC's School of Bible & Ministry launched a new major for on-campus undergraduate
students in Lancaster-the Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical & Theological Studies.
According to Program Director Dr. Gordon Gregory ('82), " What sets this program apart is the
41 additional credits in Bible and theology that allow students to go deeper into their knowledge
of the Scriptures, including how to study the Word for themselves. This includes the beginning
stages of understanding the original languages of the Bible, as well as the opportunity to visit
biblical sites, which help the text come alive in new ways. "
Geared toward students with a passion for teaching the Bible or aspirations toward seminary
or graduate school, the program also features internships that will allow students to work with
adept Bible teachers in order to hone their own skills.
A
lumni and friends of Lancaster Bible College will have a once-in-alifetime
opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Paul along his biblical
missionary journeys during a travel opportunity with college leaders in
April 2026.
Throughout an eight-day excursion to Turkey and Greece aboard the Ancient
Mediterranean Treasures Viking cruise across the Aegean and Mediterranean
seas, travelers will be inspired by biblical history on six guided tours as well as
enjoy a pre-trip extension to Cappadocia.
LBC President Dr. Tommy Kiedis and his wife, Shannan, and Vice President
of Advancement Scott Keating and his wife, Ruthie, will serve as tour hosts
on this memorable travel experience from Istanbul and Ephesus to Crete and
Athens. Space is limited and not guaranteed until booked.
