being the middle school drama club
director for the past two school
years. Liz and Timmy both love to
continually serve the Lord as part
of their church's worship team as a
singer and drummer.
Sandy H. Holbert ('09) moved from
Youth Pastor at Grace BFC to be the
Pastor at Kutztown Bible Fellowship.
Maureen E. Roth ('09) reports that
her middle daughter, Quinn ('23), is
following in her mom's footsteps and
is starting her fourth year of her fiveyear
bachelor's + master's degree in
counseling at LBC | Capital. Maureen
is one of the first graduates of LBC's
online Adult Degree Completion
program. Now in her third year of
working for Safe Harbor Christian
Counseling in Harrisburg, Maureen
loves what she does, especially
in using her biblical worldview to
counsel her clients.
2010s
Eric A. Gregory ('10 & '22) started
as the Student Ministry Director at
Community Fellowship Church in
Lancaster in September. Since then,
he and his wife, Jen, welcomed their
second child, Ainsley, in March. In
May, Eric graduated with his MDiv
from LBC | Capital.
Betty C. (Pompell '12) Bacon and
her Air Force husband are stationed
in Southern California and just
welcomed their second child, a little
girl, into their family. Betty is in her
second year of a doctoral program
at the University of West Florida.
She presented her paper, " Significant
Relationships: The Footpath to the
Gospel, " at the virtual conference
" Christian Education in a Secular
Age " hosted by Briercrest College
in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Kara E. Riley-Wenger ('12) is
enjoying being a mom to her son,
Theo, who was born on March 21,
2022. After graduating from LBC, Kara
went on to earn a master's degree
in marriage and family therapy from
Evangelical Seminary and currently
works as a therapist with Wellspan
Philhaven. Kara is thankful for the
time she spent at LBC, the guidance
of dedicated professors and mentors
and the friendships that have lasted
throughout the years.
Emily Lloyd-Walter ('13) has
been working at Mount Carmel Area
School District as an elementary
physical education teacher. She also
has been sharing her passion for the
sport of soccer at Mount Carmel,
acting as the current Head Varsity
Girls Soccer Coach for the past five
years. Emily was a part of the 2012
NEAC Championship soccer team at
LBC as goalkeeper. On Aug. 7, 2021,
she married the love of her life, Cory
Walter, just recently celebrating one
year together.
Meagan L. Good ('14) and her
husband, Grant Good, founded Take
Heart Counseling & Equine Assisted
Therapy in 2014. They were blessed
to move into their beautiful 52acre
ranch in Wernersville in 2020.
Take Heart's mission is empowering
individuals and families to find hope,
healing and wholeness through
therapeutic work with horses. Using
evidence-based and trauma-focused
Christian counseling techniques, Take
Heart has seen lives changed for
many families and individuals in our
community. Hope. Healing. Horses!
Julia (Madas '15) Thomas and
her husband, Evan, welcomed their
second child, Ethan, on April 15, 2022.
Alyssa Wesner ('17) started a
new job with Federated Insurance
Company. She is in training in
Owatonna, Minn. Alyssa shares that
Ted Mavraganis, Adjunct Professor
and Career Development Advisor
in the Business Administration
Department, sent her the lead for
the job and recommended her for
the position.
Nate P. Amspacher ('17), based
in Nashville, Tenn., recently started
his own digital marketing business
to help small business owners grow
and scale their businesses. He has a
bachelor's degree in business and is
using what he has learned during his
time at LBC to launch and scale his
first business.
Melissa (Stingle '17) Turnpaugh
graduated from the Pennsylvania
State University on Aug. 13, 2022, with
her Master of Professional Studies in
Psychology of Leadership.
