Love in Christ Global Missions and the eQuip Ghana Rural Bible &
Leadership Academy are ministries founded by Emmanuel Kelvin
Gyimah Adomako ('16 & '19) and Alice Adomako ('20) with a
mission to educate, enrich and equip a new generation of rural
African church leaders who are Christ-centered and critical thinkers.
Vietnam native David Ta didn't always know that a
bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies was a part of God's
plan for his life, but today he's able to impact others in his
home country because of his online studies through
LBC | Capital.
Emmanuel Kofi Opoku, the valedictorian of eQuip Ghana's Class
of 2021, was awarded a scholarship from LBC | Capital to pursue
a degree beginning this fall. The Adomakos share that Emmanuel
" became born again and was baptized in the Baptist church in the
year 2008 and has since not looked back in his service to God and
humanity. He soon discovered the teaching of the Word of God as
the gift God had blessed him with to help humanity. "
Opoku was born in a small village called Kukuom in the Ahafo
region to parents who were both farmers. He began his basic
school education at Osenase, a farming community in the Eastern
region of Ghana, where he tirelessly combined education with
farming so he could eventually help his parents till the land.
By God's grace, Opoku has climbed the educational ladder with
success and has held many remarkable positions along the way.
He's been trained as a professional teacher and completed his
tertiary education at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, where
he graduated with First Class Honors on his way to earning a
bachelor's degree in Psychology and Foundations of Education.
Husband to Charlotte and father to Levi and Abrianna, Opoku
currently serves as the Bible Studies Coordinator and General
Secretary of Good News Baptist Church in Nkawkaw.
Although based in Ghana, eQuip has a strategic presence in the
United States through several Christian organizations and churches.
LBC | Capital provides six Bible courses the ministry uses in its
programming: Creation and Covenants, Biblical Hermeneutics, Life
of Christ, Early Church, Creation and Fall, and Redemption. Upon
completion of the six-month in-person and online biblical and
leadership training courses, eQuip Ghana students are presented
with a Basic Bible and Leadership Certificate.
How to Pray: That more students like Emmanuel will have access
to scholarships to help them obtain a biblically integrated college
education and that eQuip Ghana's
Missions Center, pictured here, will
be completed in time for dedication
this summer. Learn more at

Now living in Hershey, Pa., Ta splits his time professionally
between the U.S. and Vietnam for his work as a freelance
film director and photographer. In fact, his work takes him
around the world while he stays connected in weekend
ministry at Vietnamese Alliance Church of York, Pa.
As he strives to use his LBC | Capital degree to impact
others and serve the Lord effectively, Ta is grounded in his
life's verse, John 3:16 (NIV): " For God so loved the world
that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes
in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. "
When he has free time from sharing his talents through
film and photography, he is devoted to his son, who has
autism. Ta consistently prays for God's miracles upon his
son's life.
One of 12 children, Ta is the only Christian among his
siblings and parents. " I still pray for my family (that) all will
become the child of God. " The knowledge of the Bible
obtained through his education at LBC | Capital is helping
him continue to be a witness to his loved ones.
How to Pray: That David will continue to impact believers
and nonbelievers alike in his home country of Vietnam
through his God-given creativity and talent.
