n most college classes, there's at least one student
who seems to have such valuable life experience,
a bit more wisdom and knows just the right things
to say to her classmates.
In Lancaster Bible College's adult education and online
business courses, one of those students was Julie
Eisenhauer ('22).

Leading up to her graduation with her bachelor's
degree in Business Administration this May, Julie didn't
realize the path God planned for her would lead to
Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate
School or to countries around the world. But God did
indeed have a perfect plan for her life-one she sees
clearly now.
With a mom who served as a nurse, Julie knew she
wanted to work in healthcare but not necessarily in
nursing. After attending Lebanon Christian Academy
just a county over from LBC, Julie enrolled at
Pensacola Christian College in Florida, where her
sister and brother were students. After earning an
associate degree, Julie began a career in healthcare
administration in 2002. It was here, as she marks 20
years in this ever-changing industry, that Julie found
her niche.
Today, Julie serves as an executive assistant with Penn
State Health. She connects the most with the business
side of healthcare administration, as she enjoys seeing
the entire process from start to finish while being
involved in strategic planning, marketing, finances
and more. She's grateful for supervisors who have
taught her along the way, not only welcoming her
involvement but also asking for her input and taking
action on her ideas.
" I always thought in the back of my mind I would finish
my degree, " Julie said. " When COVID hit, I was working
remotely, and my volunteering was limited. " As the
world slowed down in 2020, Julie realized it could be
the perfect time to start college courses again.
" Everything came to a halt, and I had too much time
on my hands, " she said. " I didn't realize LBC had sixweek
accelerated classes. As someone who likes to get
things done, I thought, 'Yes, I can do this!' "
During the application process, she learned that all
but one of her Pensacola Christian credits transferred,
leaving 19 courses to complete toward her bachelor's
degree when she enrolled at LBC in August 2020.
True to her determined outlook on life, Julie doubled
up on classes during a few six-week sessions and took
a mix of online and on-campus courses in Lancaster,
immensely enjoying the in-person engagement.
(Beginning this August, adult education and online
courses at LBC | Capital will move to an eight-week
format.)
Many times throughout the process, Julie leaned on
her LBC Student Success Coach, Steven Holsinger, who
called her " very kind, " adding that " it was so cool to
watch Julie thrive on campus. "
" He was wonderful and so supportive, " Julie said. " The
faculty were also outstanding. "
She especially enjoyed Judge Leonard Brown's
Business Law course, with one class meeting in a
courtroom, as well as John Cragin's International
Business course. Julie shared that her LBC | Capital
professors were nurturing, engaging, understanding
and flexible, knowing their students were oftentimes
working full-time jobs with family commitments as
they served their communities and churches.
In fact, being able to complete her degree while
volunteering was extremely important to Julie. Close to
her heart are her volunteer opportunities with a food
assistance program called Cocoa Packs in Hershey,
through the Liberty USO at the Fort Indiantown Gap
National Guard Training Center and at Lebanon Valley
Bible Church, where she is a pianist for the praise team
and assists with AWANA and other church ministries.
But the volunteer aspect that has perhaps shaped her
the most is her longtime participation in international
medical missions trips. With a heart for missions
coupled with healthcare experience, Julie researched
how she could serve in both capacities and found
Medical Missions Outreach (MMO), which has a vision
to " point others to the Great Physician. "
Since 2015, Julie has been a part of 10 medical
missions trips to nine countries, returning to Tanzania
for her most recent trip in August 2021. There, her
team offered medical and optical clinics for over 1,700
patients-573 of whom accepted Christ as their Savior.
Julie routinely helps in the pharmacy and optical
