oots provide stability. They
remind people where they
came from and provide plants
with nourishment. Roots are
essential and pivotal to growth. The
overarching theme of this issue of
The ECHO Magazine is " Rooted and
Branching Out. " Lancaster Bible College
| Capital Seminary & Graduate School
is expanding and growing, but that
does not mean the mission of being
rooted in Jesus Christ and God's Word
has changed-or will ever change.
LBC | Capital will always have the
faith journey of each student as
its main priority. Roots, however,
don't stop growing; they expand
and stretch out. LBC is branching
out into new territories with the
same mission and purpose at
heart, whether traveling abroad,
learning skills or meeting new
people.
The ECHO asked several
longstanding faculty members
with a decade of service or
more this question: " What does
'Rooted and Branching Out'
mean to you? " Here are their
responses:

At LBC | Capital since 1998
Rooted means solid in a biblical
worldview and growing out of a
deep commitment to the truth
of God's revealed Word, character
and work in our world. Branching
out means producing the foliage
and fruit of God's character in and
through our lives and teaching
students in a world that desperately
needs to see Christ and His solutions
to our brokenness and pain.
