event attracted people from outside the
immediate area.
" Attendees are telling their friends and
family about their experience and sending
them to the Highlands as well, " Specht says.
Such a popular event mid-pandemic was
not easy to piece together, but Specht and
his team held strong and stayed flexible in
order to make this Adventure X Fest one of
the best yet.
" There was loads of space for people to
spread out, " Specht says. " Campsites were
large, with 10-foot buffer zones in between
them. Band equipment and restrooms
were cleaned regularly and we encouraged
event vendors and volunteers to mask up.
General awareness and signage was also
very helpful. "
