Center is the Jackson House
Museum (ca. 1800), the one-time
home of educator and general
Thomas J. Jackson, and the local
hospital from 1907 to 1954. Today
it shares the history of the whole
Jackson household, including the
enslaved, prior to the American
Civil War.
Perhaps the area's natural
beauty is to thank for the overflowing
creativity of Lexington's
residents. Galleries such as

and genres. The likeness of the
iconic Lexington bricks are cast as
