FULL CIRCLE LOVE
Derek Karr and Amy Marion first met in high
school, where they dated briefly before going
their separate ways. After growing up and having
children of their own (three for her, one for him),
life chose to put them back on each other's paths.
On Amy's birthday, she and Derek were
standing in the middle of his kitchen discussing
many things, including about life and where they
were together in it. He then proceeded to drop to
one knee and ask Amy to spend forever with him.
A PERFECT BLEND
The couple wanted a low-key, rustic-themed
type of wedding, choosing to do a cocktail hour
with light refreshments before the ceremony.

Amy looked beautiful in a simple cocktail dress,
changing into her gorgeous gown for the ceremony
and reception. Guests were served pulled pork
barbeque and grilled chicken, and enjoyed a
white cake with raspberry jam and buttercream
frosting. Amy recalls her gratefulness to her venue's
owner, Susan Sink, who handled the decor and
florals to make every detail just perfect for the
very special occasion.
Amy and Derek chose to do a sand ceremony
to " blend " their family of six together. They each
had a different color of sand to pour into the
vase, representing each one of them. Once poured
together, they can never again be separated, as
each grain is so tiny, it could never be done, a
perfect analogy for the family's new life together.
AN EMOTIONAL MOMENT
Amy recalls her favorite memory from the
wedding was " just how much fun we all had! "
Having all the girls getting ready in the bridal
suite was so nice for Amy, as they relaxed, sipped
drinks, sang and danced and were generally
pampered all day.
Amy's son, their youngest and only boy, walked
her down the aisle to give her away. That, of course,
had everyone teary-eyed, but it was when they
approached the aisle and Derek turned around
for his first look at his bride and started to cry
that Amy also grew emotional. The magical day
ended after an amazing mountain sunset and a
sparkler exit, surrounded by family and friends
as they cheered on the newlyweds.
