LOVE IN BLOOM
Mahaley Reyns and Holden Broughman met
through mutual friends in high school. As their
bond grew stronger, their families started to
think there was more to their connection than
just friendship. Turns out, they were right! In
2014, Holden and Mahaley officially became
a couple.
They both attended James Madison University,
and one of the places they loved visiting together
was the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum. It " proved
to be the perfect canvas to describe how their
love grew with each changing season, " and
Holden couldn't think of a more fitting place
to propose to the love of his life.

INFINITE LOVE
Mahaley and Holden incorporated natural
wood tones, sage and lavender details into their
enchanted fairytale garden wedding day. They
had forest-themed cupcakes and an elegant
two-tiered cake decorated with a willow tree
topper. The couple also incorporated many round
elements, from their handmade centerpieces to
the live greenery arbor and chandeliers, which
served as a representation of " the unending circle
of their love. "
Holden and Mahaley also shared their love
for one another with guests through their favors
- packets of wildflower seeds, and pothos and
spider plants propagated and potted from the
pair's own.
ALL THE HAPPY TEARS
The couple's favorite moments of the day happened
during their ceremony. Holden's was when
Mahaley serenaded the whole church with a
surprise a cappella performance of " A Dream Is
a Wish Your Heart Makes. " Mahaley says that
" seeing Holden overwhelmed with tears and a
smile to see her " as she stood with her father,
ready to walk down the aisle, is a moment she
will " cherish for the rest of her life. " They also
adored a phenomenal rendition of A-ha's " Take
On Me " that was played on the organ during
the recessional.
Mahaley and Holden planned each piece of
their day themselves, and getting to see their
vision come to life was " a dream come true. "
