WINTER WONDERLAND
Kimberlie Willard met Andrew Ruimerman at
Roanoke College. He was actually one of the
students who helped her move in! One evening,
Kimberlie was talking with a friend when Andrew
walked by and joined them. He and Kimberlie
talked the night away, and their connection just
blossomed from there.
Andrew planned the romantic proposal
completely on his own. He kicked the night off
by cooking Kimberlie's favorite meal, Lemon
Chicken Piccata, and the two enjoyed a candlelit
dinner before venturing up to Mill Mountain.
With icy tree branches sparkling around them
in the light of the star, Andrew asked Kimberlie
to marry him.

TAKING ROOT
Andrew and Kimberlie are both very close with
their families, so having them involved throughout
the planning process as well as in attendance on
their big day was " very touching. " They also set
up a memory table at their reception to honor
family members who were with them in spirit.
The couple married in an outdoor ceremony
on a crisp April day. They said traditional vows
but added a unique touch by incorporating a
custom ceremony speech. They also planted a
pine tree as a way to " symbolize their relationship
as something to nurture. "
PICTURE PERFECT
Kimberlie and Andrew paid homage to their alma
mater by incorporating maroon into their blush
pink and navy color palette. They also treated
their guests to three different favors: packets
of sunflower seeds, custom drink coasters and
Kimberlie's personal favorite, the name place
cards from the tables.
Their reception was full of dancing, fun and
entertainment. The pair played the shoe game
and performed a special first dance they had
choreographed. Andrew and his mother also
shared a sweet dance, and Kimberlie and her
dad had a blast jamming out to party hits like
Soulja Boy and the Macarena. Kimberlie and
Andrew say that celebrating their day with all of
their favorite people on this day was perfect from
start to finish - " a fairytale dream come true! "
