MOM KNOWS BEST
When Brian Willett first moved his mother into an
assisted living facility, he had no idea it included
meeting the love of his life! Patty Murphy was the
facility's activities manager, and invited him to
join in on their fun. She later told his mom that
he was cute and she helped get them together!
Brian chose a very special Mother's Day
proposal, popping the question to Patty on
her back deck in front of her daughter and
grandchildren.
LOVE AND LEOPARD
Patty is the ultimate cat lover and went all in
with a leopard-themed wedding with hot pink
and jungle flowers and a custom leopard cake.

All of her handmade flower centerpieces and
other decorations, including the bouquets, were
designed by her daughter Sommer Thomas.
She also knew she wanted a casual day with
loved ones, choosing a pool party wedding
location - the first wedding the pool ever
had! After Patty's daughter announced them
husband and wife, they jumped off the diving
board together, followed by their fun-loving
bridal party.
PARTY PRANK FUN
As Patty and Brian are also music lovers and
performers, their playlist included favorite tunes
from KISS, Kelis, Elton John and Alice Cooper.
While her favorite memory is simply celebrating
their special day with friends and family who
came to join their celebration, and her daughter
marrying them, Patty's little wedding prank is
a close second.
She began the walk down the aisle to Elton
John's " The One, " which switched halfway
through to Alice Cooper's " Poison " and Patty
proceeded to dance around the pool aisles. At one
point she paused and turned away, shocking the
crowd and her bridal party as they thought she
wasn't going through with the wedding! Brian,
however, is more than familiar with his playful
wife and was in on the secret, patiently waiting
for Patty to return with one of her closest friends
to walk her down the aisle. " It was an awesome
theatrical sight! " she says.
