Cheyenne Good and Ronald " Ron " Peery met
online in 2019 before getting together in person
for the first time in Johnson City, TN. When
Cheyenne arrived, the pair " hugged away the
nerves, and set out on a date that would change
[their] lives " forever.
In October 2021, Ron, a paleontologist, and
Cheyenne, an architectural historian, moved
to California for work, with his new position
requiring him to be away from home for weeks
at a time - something the couple wasn't used
to after spending almost every minute together
during the pandemic! As a way to reconnect,
Cheyenne and Ron would sit outside on their
back patio and decompress when Ron returned

from a trip. One sunny afternoon, Ron decided
to make their special ritual even more so by
proposing. Cheyenne says the moment was " so
humble and sincere. "
FAMILY LIKE YOU
Cheyenne and her bridesmaids did each other's
wedding makeup with '90s and early 2000s
pop tunes blaring in the background for fun.
Putting together their wedding playlist came
naturally for these two music enthusiasts. Ron
and Cheyenne's first dance was to " Fell in Love
at 22 " by Starflyer 59, and they each had a sweet
dance with their moms. The couple shared a
small lemon lavender cake, and guests enjoyed
delectable blackberry cupcakes at the reception.
RADIATING LOVE
Ron and Cheyenne's romantic and elegant
ceremony ended up taking place indoors due
to the frigid temperatures, but not even the
cold could put a damper on their favorite part
of the day. They wrote their entire ceremony
script themselves and even tailored their vows to
emphasize the things that mean the most to them.
Their last vow? A promise to grow in their
love for one another and radiate it outward, as
community and being an example of love is an
important part of who they are, and they wanted
to share their love with family and friends. Getting
to do just that on their wedding day, surrounded
by loved ones, was " surreal to experience, " says
Cheyenne, but " just perfect. "
