FROM WINERY TO WEDDING
Tessa Mason and Austin Lowman first met one
night in downtown Roanoke. When Austin knew
he wanted to propose, he went all out, planning a
surprise proposal at Barboursville Winery, a piece
of their past as the location of their first trip out
of town together. Tessa thought they were there
to meet their friends, and was overwhelmed with
emotion when Austin proposed at the " ruins "
located at the winery.
WINTER ROMANCE
Tessa wanted a winter wedding, with a candlelit
ceremony at dusk to add to the romantic ambience.
Candles were placed along the aisle to guide
them down the path, setting the scene for their
66 | REAL WEDDINGS
intimate ceremony. Her florals were perfect for
the season, with white roses, pine needles and
baby's breath in gorgeous greenery. After photos
with her bridesmaids in the cutest pajamas
and matching fuzzy slippers, they showed off
stunning green gowns in different styles that
perfectly matched Tessa's chosen colors. Austin's
suit included a muted gold tie and smart brown
shoes to dance the night away with his new bride.
The tablescapes were absolutely classic, with
centerpieces of greenery mimicking her bouquet
and candles to match the romantic feel of the
ceremony space. The couple also enjoyed a private
table just for the two of them, where they were
able to grab a bite to eat before cutting the cake
and enjoying the rest of the party.
YOU AND ME FOREVER
Tessa and Austin made sure to get their dogs
in on the fun with special family photos, and
guests enjoyed cute cupcakes after their meal.
Austin and his friends even managed to fit in
a cigar celebration. After hours of dancing and
having the time of their lives with friends and
family, the newlyweds ended the day with a fun,
sparkling exit with loved ones wishing them well.
Tessa recalls her favorite wedding day moment
as the final one - the last dance! She and Austin
celebrated their nuptials with an intimate last
dance to " If I Ain't Got You " with just the two of
them, providing them a moment alone together
as newlyweds. " We could have danced to that
song forever! " she says.
