A DAY TO REMEMBER
After seeing Alexandria Pilot's comment on a
friend's social media post, Jordan Chambers
gave her a follow, but never reached out. A year
later, Alexandria slid into his DMs, telling him
how cute she thought he looked in his glasses in
a recent photo. They've been together ever since!
Jordan moved to Roanoke to be with Alexandria,
so when her mom suggested he propose at the
iconic Roanoke Star, it felt like the perfect fit
(plus loved ones could watch the proposal on
the Star's camera!). The entire engagement day
was a big one for Alexandria, who started it by
first successfully defending her doctorate and
ended it by saying yes to forever to the man of
her dreams.
WITH HELP FROM FAMILY
Alexandria shared a sweet first look with her
father before walking down the aisle at St.
Andrew's Catholic Church. Marrying there
was so special to the couple, as it " emphasized
[their] vows and the importance behind the
commitment. "
Family talents customized the special day.
Alexandria's parents made the bouquets, decor
and centerpieces using the pair's favorite colors,
and Jordan's mom made the delicious desserts.
The blessing from Jordan's grandfather
over dinner will always be a favorite memory.
Following their regal and historic reception,
the newlyweds took a romantic carriage ride
- their first adventure as husband and wife.
