ONE OF A KIND
Before Josh Bailey and his friends headed downtown
to celebrate his birthday, Katie Fortner showed
up to the party, stunning in jeans and a leather
jacket. She and Josh first locked eyes from across
the bar, sparking an immediate connection. The
two spent the entire evening talking and laughing
like they were the only two people in the room.
Josh's surprise proposal plans unfolded on
Katie's 26th birthday. While she got ready, he
decorated their front porch with candles and rose
petals and dressed their pup Sunny up in a flower
necklace. Neighbors cheered and honked their
car horns as Josh got down on one knee. They
celebrated their engagement with a night of line
dancing at Sidewinders with their closest friends.

THOUGHTFUL & GENUINE
The sweetest memories of the day were made
during their ceremony. An acoustic rendition of
" Here Comes the Sun " filled the room as Katie
walked down the aisle. Their good friend led
everyone in a moment of silence, giving Josh
and Katie a chance to let the love and support
of those in attendance soak in.
They added an extra personal touch by preparing
handwritten vows for each other. Josh spoke of
Katie's individuality and strength and she of his
fierce protection of their love. They also promised
to grow together in faith and exchanged rings - a
stunning custom design for her and the fashionforward
Cartier band of his dreams - before
sharing their first kiss as husband and wife.
OLD-FASHIONED FLAIR
Josh and Katie, matching in their custom Air
Force One shoes, kicked off the reception with a
first dance to Kane and Katelyn Brown's " Thank
God. " When they needed a break from the party,
guests enjoyed delicious cake and cupcakes, all
baked by Josh's mother in his childhood home,
and grabbed drinks from the incredible champagne
tower the couple always envisioned having.
The pair absolutely adored their old-fashioned,
New Orleans-inspired send-off. All of their family
and friends, dressed in black and white to match
their color scheme, lined the grand, four-story
staircase, waving handkerchiefs and shouting
well wishes as the newlyweds exited the venue.
" We have never felt more loved in our lives! "
