TICKET TO FOREVER
Courtney LaFon wasn't always Shawny Jones'
biggest fan, considering he was handing her a
ticket for an inspection sticker on the day they
met! But the two of them must have been meant
to be, hitting it off when they crossed paths years
later at a local restaurant.
Shawny proposed on a Memorial Day weekend
getaway to Tennessee. He and Courtney were
eating dinner at their cabin, reminiscing about
the wonderful years they'd shared together, when
he gave Courtney quite the scare by announcing
he no longer wanted her as his girlfriend. He
quickly clarified that he was hoping she'd be his
wife instead. To this day, Courtney loves how
" special, private and intimate " the moment was.

YOU AND ME, WHOLEHEARTEDLY
The couple worked together to ensure every
wedding detail was representative of them both.
Striking shades of purple - Courtney's favorite
color - were balanced with black and silver
accents, and they included their dogs, Rocko
and Luna, on the cocktail napkins. They also let
their humorous sides come through with their
" Welcome to Courtney's Wedding featuring
Shawny " sign and adorable Fortnite-inspired
cake topper.
Guests satisfied their sweet tooths with delicious
cupcakes, cookies and truffles from the dessert
table. Fresh calla lilies and greenery showcased
in the gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces also
decorated the pair's tasty, two-tiered red velvet cake.
PRESENT IN EVERY MOMENT
Everyone had a blast dancing and celebrating the
newlyweds at the reception. Courtney's sister had
the whole room cracking up during her comical
toast, and a heartfelt speech was given by Shawny's
uncle in honor of the groom's late father. Seeing
their dearest friends and family meet and mingle
warmed Courtney's heart. " Everyone just vibed
and clicked with each other. "
After a dazzling fireworks display, the lovebirds
headed back to their BnB with leftovers in hand.
They sat together on the couch - Courtney still
looking radiant in her dress, as she couldn't bear
to pack it up quite yet - snacking and reflecting
on all the beautiful memories they'd been able
to create with those they love most that day.
