subsequent years, they continue to remain
lower than other parts of the state.

GETTING AROUND
Several interstates run through the state
(left/right, top/bottom), including Interstate
40, which runs the width of the state.
Air travelers will find ease of flight connections
by booking flights at Charlotte
Douglas International Airport (CLT), Raleigh-Durham
(RDU) and Piedmont Triad
International Airport (GSO).
Rail travelers can connect to a range of
destinations through Amtrak, including
from the station near downtown Charlotte.
It's an easy way to travel to Raleigh, but it's
also ideal for longer excursions, such as
the Charlotte to New York City route.
