B * Détermination de l'expression de la valeur de l'option
Les prix des options sur action et sur indice, composante en partie du
produit structuré, sont exprimés de trois façons différentes.
1) En pourcentage du cours spot
Si l'action Axa cote 30 EUR et que le prix d'un put maturité 3 mois
strike 25 EUR est de 4,50 %, la vente de cette option rapporte :
30,00 EUR  4,50 % = 1,35 EUR
Un tel système de cotation est possible si l'investisseur ne connaît pas le
niveau exact du strike. En demandant des niveaux en pourcentage du
spot, la valeur numérique du strike n'est pas figée.
2) En pourcentage du cours strike
Le souscripteur a défini un niveau numérique du strike en cas d'obligation
d'achat à terme. Le prix va donc fluctuer en fonction de l'évolution
du cours spot du sous-jacent. Le prix de l'option Axa vaut dans l'exemple
ci-dessus 5,40 % du strike, soit :
25,00 EUR  5,40 % = 1,35 EUR
3) En prime dans la devise de l'action
Le montant numérique à percevoir grâce à la vente de l'option est connu
en cash, c'est-à-dire exprimé dans la devise de l'action. Le prix de l'option
Axa présentée ci-dessus est donc de 1,35 EUR. Pour comparer les prix de
différents établissements bancaires, soit la demande de la valeur optionnelle
est réalisée sur des bases de marché identique (fixation du spot et du
strike en valeur), soit en pourcentage du spot. En effet, l'expression du
prix en prime n'indique pas quelles ont été les variables retenues pour le
calcul initial de l'option.
L'équation suivante résume les trois possibilités de prix :
Spot  Prix option en % du spot
= Prime de l'option exprimée en devise
= Strike  Prix de l'option en % du strike
