Pour les sous-jacents américains et notamment les US treasuries, le prix
de l'option est exprimé en pourcentage en base 32e. Si le prix annoncé est
de 8,5 % du nominal de l'option, cela signifiera 8,5 / 32 soit 0,265625 %.
Le calcul du montant perçu en devise par cette vente d'option est :
Nominal de l'option  prime de l'option vendue en base 32e
Pour les papiers d'États européens, le prix est exprimé en pourcentage du
nominal, soit pour connaître les flux réels :
Nominal de l'option x prime de l'option vendue
La détermination du nominal acheté est également non négligeable car il
doit prendre en compte le montant des coupons courus. Si un client souhaite
réaliser une opération sur un reverse convertible pour un nominal
précis, il faut calculer le nombre exact de titres que peut acquérir le souscripteur
en ne négligeant pas les intérêts à payer à l'ancien détenteur du
titre. À titre d'exemple, si un investisseur achète une obligation de la
Banque européenne d'investissement 4,50 % échéance 5 janvier 2035
avec 283 jours de coupon couru, il suffit de multiplier le coupon de
l'obligation par le nombre de jours de coupon couru divisé par la base de
calcul 365. Si cette proratisation des intérêts n'était pas réalisée, les obligations
seraient acquises la veille de leur détachement de coupon pour
acquérir l'intégralité de l'année passée et revendues le lendemain.
