À partir d'entretiens et d'une comparaison de données chiffrées nationales
et locales, cet article met en lumière le phénomène de massification du
contentieux des violences conjugales et son effet sur le quotidien des professionnels
en charge du traitement des auteurs et des victimes. Confrontés
à un nombre croissant de révélations, mais aussi de poursuites et de
condamnations, policiers et gendarmes, magistrats, et acteurs associatifs
consacrent une part importante de leur travail à ces affaires. Cette augmentation
du contentieux, associée aux injonctions des pouvoirs publics et de
leurs hiérarchies ou des médias, questionne aujourd'hui ces professionnels,
à la fois de plus en plus formés et engagés dans le traitement des affaires
et en difficulté croissante face à la masse et à la complexité du contentieux.

Based on interviews and a comparison of national and local figures, this
article sheds light on the phenomenon of the massification of domestic
violence litigation and its effect on the day-to-day work of professionals
in charge of dealing with perpetrators and victims. Faced with a growing
number of disclosures, prosecutions, and convictions, police and gendarmes,
magistrates, and community workers, are devoting a significant portion
of their work to this issue. This increase in litigation, combined with the
injunctions of the public authorities, their hierarchies, and the media, is
raising questions for these professionals, who are both increasingly trained
and involved in handling cases while struggling to cope with the sheer
volume and complexity of litigation.
