INDUSTRY NEWS MEET THE NEW WOMEN IN AUTO CARE IS NOW "Since 1996, we have grown from a 'board' of elite women professionals to a membership organization of more than 200 auto care professionals dedicated to providing opportunities, education and career leadership to women in the industry." THE Car Care Council Women's Board (WB), the original and leading organization for women in the auto care industry, is marking its 20th year by announcing a new name and rebranding at AAPEX 2016. "This year has been outstanding, with two successful leadership conferences and our membership, benefits and sponsor partnerships have continued to accelerate," said Amy Mattinat, president, Car Care Council Women's Board. "Since 1996, we have grown from a 'board' of elite women professionals to a membership organization of more than 200 auto care professionals dedicated to providing opportunities, education and career leadership to women in the industry." In response to the WB's massive growth and planned initiatives to establish itself in a leadership position around the globe, and with the support of WB member Lisa Rodriguez, 16 AUTO CARE INSIDER | VOL. 102 owner, Soaring Marketing, LLC, they are taking on a new name: Women in Auto Care. Tagline - A Global Community better aligns its new identity with the auto care industry's outreach in their customers' community and around the globe. Slogan - Connecting, empowering and mentoring women in auto care succinctly highlights the organization's most-valued member benefits and effectively, its purpose. Vision - A global community for women in the auto care business, Women in Auto Care helps transform the lives of those who transform the auto care world outlines the overall commitment of the group now and into the future. Website - A website overhaul is scheduled for completion by spring 2017. The redesigned website will serve as an informational resource that incorporates success stories, networking opportunities and additional member-supportive elements. "The goal with rebranding was to elevate the core attributes of the WB brand," said Tammy (Chaffee) Tecklenburg, committee chair, Member Development Committee. "Along with the Auto Care Association, we will harness the power of turning industry similarities, challenges and trends into meaningful insights for our members. As our membership needs evolve, the organization continues to respond to membership demand and rebranding is part of that evolution." The new name and logo will be officially unveiled at this year's annual reception at AAPEX, Tuesday, Nov. 1, 5 p.m. at The Venetian Casanova Room 506.
