GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS INTRODUCING THE AUTO CARE ADVOCACY LEADERSHIP TEAM A Grassroots Advocacy Program Worthy of the $300 Billion Auto Care Industry THE Auto Care Association is excited to announce a new advocacy program for members who understand the importance of government affairs and want to help educate elected officials on the issues most important to our industry. Never before has the auto care industry - comprised of more than four million American workers located throughout every region of this country - had a permanent grassroots network of individuals trained in the art of political advocacy. This program will serve as the first step in harnessing our full grassroots potential for the purpose of influencing future decisions made in Washington, D.C. and the states. Our industry has a great story to tell, but the challenge is getting our country's leaders to listen. One of our industry's real strengths is that it would be difficult to find a federal or state legislative district that does not have an auto care business within its borders. The Auto Care Advocacy Leadership Team will be a robust infrastructure of well-trained industry professionals who can effectively advocate on behalf of the auto care industry and its issues while cultivating relationships with their elected officials. Any employee of an Auto Care Association member company who wants to help change the way legislative leaders view our industry is welcome to participate.
