It also provides time to practice riding on roadways in real traffic with the instructor and others in the class. All of the above classes are taught by League Cycling Instructors (LCIs), and all LCIs have been certified by the League to teach the Smart Cycling curriculum. The League also provides LCIs with tools and resources to effectively teach the curriculum. LCIs typically organize their own classes and set their own rates for their time instructing. LCIs also have the ability to adapt the Smart Cycling curriculum to fit the needs of their audience. All bike education classes based on the League's Smart Cycling curriculum can be found on the League's Connect Locally Map, found at bikeleague.org. The LCIs are trained by a League Cycling Coach, and there are approximately 20 League Cycling Coaches throughout the country, all of whom are certified and hired by the League to train our LCIs. League Cycling Coaches have years of experience teaching the Smart Cycling curriculum, are involved in their local bike advocacy community and have been trained by a team of experienced Coaches. Here is a glimpse of what the League's Smart Cycling program means to a Smart Cycling student, a League Cycling Instructor and a League Cycling Coach.
