NATIONAL BIKE SUMMIT
The National Bike Summit is the premier bike advocacy
event of the year, uniting the voices of bicyclists on Capitol
Hill. This year's theme is Grass Roots Grow Together, and we'll
be showcasing successes at the local level, learning how they
happen and exploring ways to expand their reach.
This year, we're back at the Renaissance Hotel Washington
DC from March 5 through 7.
Take a look at the photos from the 2017 Summit on the following pages. We'll be bringing you all of this and more this
year.
Here are some of the highlights of this year's Summit:
* U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao is headlining the opening session.
* Kim Jordan, co-founder and Executive Chair of New Belgium Brewing will deliver the keynote address.

* We're offering a diversity and inclusion workshop with
Cheri Wilson a well as a workshop on working with youth.
* Mobile workshops are back for the third year. You'll use
Capital Bikeshare to get to these popular field trips.
* We have sessions tailored for advocacy organizations,
bike clubs, educators and Bicycle Friendly Businesses,
Communities and Universities.
* As always, on Wednesday, we'll set up meetings on Capitol Hill with the offices of your Representative and Senators. We'll do all the scheduling for you!
