For example, he painted motorsports striping on the walls, built a
custom office and customer waiting
area, installed epoxy flooring, and
more. In the waiting area, Amr has
displayed his personal collection of
BMW memorabilia including many
die cast Art Cars. He even mounted
a rare vintage slot car track, a
treasure from his childhood, on the
ceiling. There are many personal
touches at Bimmer Werks that really
set it apart and showcase the shop's
commitment to providing quality
service. It was readily apparent that
Amr has amazing attention to detail,
as rarely was a spilled fluid left on
the floor for more than few seconds
before he strolled by and wiped
it up.
While Bimmer Werks can handle all of your BMW's routine maintenance, they also offer specialized
services such as transmission
replacement/rebuilding, alignments,
tire mounting/balance, engine
repair/replacement, and more. Amr
said they also do interior work, and
he showed me a custom two-tone
interior recently installed in an E39
M5 that was truly transformative.

Werks is done by a Certified Master
Technician; they set out to offer the
quality expected from a dealership,
but delivered on a smaller scale and
in a more personal environment.
They also provide shuttle service to
the nearby Greenbelt Metro Station,
and all BMW CCA members receive
a ten percent discount.
Many successful tasks were
completed by an industrious group
of DIY participants. Eddie Henry
replaced the automatic transmission fluid and filter on his 2004
BMW Z4 Roadster. First time DIYer
Jagadesh Yellapu replaced the front
rotors and brake pads on his 2012
328i. DIY regular Joe Concaugh
took on one of the larger projects by
replacing his water pump, thermostat, pulleys, belts, and coolant on
his 2005 330cic. John Francis
replaced the intermediate rear brake
lines and engine oil/filter on his
1991 M5. Brad Amador attended
the event as a helper, but also did
some under body panel adjustments on his 328i.
Bimmer Werks supplied a
wonderful barbecue lunch for all of
our DIY participants and many of
their loyal customers who had
stopped by to visit in the afternoon.
DIY Chair Chris Wootten did a great
job making sure that everyone
stayed on task so that each participant could receive at least two
hours of lift time in a service bay.
