DRIVING THROUGH A LOOKING GLASS AND OTHER STRANGE SIGHTS that rolled the cut hay into large rolls, than wrap those rolls in black plastic. We did see a number of BMWs, mostly 3 Series. And we saw a VW pickup truck. Because of the lack of familiar western global conglomerate brands (there was not a McDonalds in every village) many would say that north Ireland is not the ideal tourist location. We would argue differently. The ability to do something different, from driving on the "wrong" side of the road, then chatting with the locals, then being welcomed in to the cozy Village Pub during meal time, means that this type of location tends to bring families together and helps restore faith in the human race. For our next trip to this region, we'll be confident enough in our right-hand-driving skills to rent a BMW. (Top) Squint and you might see Luke Skywalker.
