aerial display of an
aerobatic plane, helicopter and jet

The crowd looked happy and
people had a good time throughout
the day. Plenty of beer, brats, water
and German pretzels kept us fed
and hydrated. It turned out to be a
great celebration of all things M.
The new 2023 G87 M2 and XM cars
both made their North American
debut at the Festival. Several of us
headed to Hans and Franz for
dinner and a recap of the day's
activities. It was definitely a day
to remember. Big thanks to Mike
Renner for organizing and
bringing a great group of people
and cars out to celebrate the
M brand.

Mike Renner organized the
afternoon schedule which included
several
interesting events.
Throughout the morning, the display
cars began to assemble in the
Performance Center staging area.
There were a variety of M street cars,
race cars and rare classics. Among
the cars Mike assembled were the
following:

The best part about the day
was that these cars were not just
sitting all day in the parking lot.
They all ran on the Performance
Center track for everyone to see
and hear in action. The afternoon
consisted of nine run groups of
three or four cars per group.
Drivers had about 10 minutes to
drive their cars around the track.
The 600 or so people on hand had
the rare opportunity to see and hear
all these cars run several times
around the track.
There were three unique
displays that Mike added to the
celebration. The day began with the
flyover of a Stearman biplane and
included a riding demonstration of
Sunday
The M Chapter hosted a Cars
and Coffee at the BMW CCA
Headquarters building on Sunday
morning, just down the road from
the Performance Center and the
factory complex. A group of about
75 BMW owners came out for a
relaxing morning on the headquarters
lawn and parking lot. A nice
selection of M cars owned by
club members were on display.
