Longtime NCC club member
Daniel Lim passed away on
October 17, 2024, in Fort
Washington, Maryland. He was
the eldest child of Kong May
Lim and Tsuey Ngor Lim and
was born in Washington, D.C.,
on February 29, 1948. As an
older leap-year baby, he liked to
reveal his age by dividing the
years by four. He attended Holy
Comforter Catholic School,
DeMatha High, and graduated
with a degree in electrical
engineering from the University
of Maryland.
In his earlier years he was

Their first trip to Hawaii led to
many more traveling adventures
around the world, introducing
the couple to new foods and
cultures. They established their
first home in Fort Washington,
Maryland, and enjoyed their
time there right up until his
passing.
After retirement from
a member of The Marauders, a
rock band. While he may have
thought about pursuing a future
in the music industry, his
parents strongly suggested he
attend college instead. Thus,
the degree from the University
of Maryland.
He had a lifelong love of
Pepco, he and his wife spent
most of their time in their home
in North Fort Myers, Florida.
Daniel established cherished
relationships within the Herons
Glen community, acting as
a photographer for the
community's events, being a
member of the bocci league,
trying his luck at bingo, and
always looking forward to
breakfasts with the Thursday
Breakfast Group.
He took pride in his
Daniel Lim
cars, maintaining his autos and
indulging in a bit of drag racing. He was a Board Member
of the NCC, holding positions as Secretary and heading Socials
in the 1980s.
He married Seu Fong Chin of Baltimore, Maryland in 1972.

greenery, and tending the lawn.
Always handy around the
house, he built wet bars, closets, shelving; replaced light
fixtures and flooring; and installed the latest tech devices.
He is survived by his wife Seu Fong Lim and his two
younger sisters, Janice Lim and Suzanne Lim.
