NCC Volunteer Spotlight Todd Bacastow By dB | Photos by Todd Bacastow dB: How did you first become involved in NCC BMW CCA? Todd: I joined the NCC BMW CCA around 2010 when I moved to the DC metro area. Over the years I participated in occasional events but became more involved as a volunteer with the NCC in 2020. dB: Tell us about your participation in NCC's various programs: Todd: I enjoy local events such as the monthly NoVA Social to connect with other club members, as well as the NCC Annual Meeting picnic. Virtual events such as the tour of BMW Classic's facility in Munich with the ///M Chapter have also been a highlight for me. My single most memorable experience with the club has to be the NCC and M Chapter's ///M Intensive Club Days at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 6 ■ (Top) Track time in the M2 with BMW ///M Track Days at Homestead-Miami Speedway. If you ever get the chance to drive at Indy, it's an absolute bucket list item for any motorsport enthusiast. dB: What do you like best about your involvement with NCC? Todd: I like how NCC creates opportunities to enjoy this hobby with other club members, family, and friends at events such as the Annual Meeting picnic. Everyone I've met in the club is enthusiastic about cars generally, but especially share a passion for BMWs. Many members have been involved for decades yet are incredibly approachable and enjoy sharing their knowledge with new members. dB: How would you suggest that members become involved in NCC? Todd: Check out the NCC calendar on the website and pick an event derBayerische
