found his own way along the route. We finally did see Greg...at lunch , LOL
After 20-30 minutes of chilling, chatting and laughing we set off onto
the second leg of the tour. Needless to say, Tom nailed it again. WOW!!!
These were some of the best roads this guy has ever driven in Southern
Maryland. A solid pace was set by our leader Tom Miller in his M5.
We got some great views, saw
some amazing properties; we
even passed the Audi club going
in the opposite direction...kind
of cool! The last stretch of the
second leg to me was one of the
best parts...seeing my fellow
tour drivers in the rearview
mirror, winding through the
twisties. My pal Chris Pippin in
his awesome Z4 coupe was right
behind me as he had been the
entire tour.....stomach grumbling
knowing that we were close to
lunch...YES, lunch!
Our destination, chosen by
the lead Tom Miller, was " Tequila
Grill and Cantina " in Charlotte Hall, MD. I had no idea there was a town in
Maryland called that. The food, service, and everything else at lunch was
terrific. Having the entire group sitting together, listening to the day's

driving stories, enjoying outstanding Mexican food... it was a real treat, to
say the least. After everyone had full bellies and was beginning to fall asleep
after all the excitement, driving, and great food, the group began what is
always the worst part of the tour: DEPARTURE and going home.
From Southern Maryland home you really do not have a ton of options with
routes, so needless to say, the
traffic stank.
The Southern Maryland tour
turned out to be an absolute gem.
Tom did an amazing job with the
route as well driving our group's
lead car. Devin Moreno (fellow
Tourmeister) drove our " solid as
a rock' mid car and Charles
Williams drove the gracious
sweep car. That man always has
a huge smile on his face!
This tour will be placed in the
archives for future reuse.
Hopefully those that missed it
will be able to experience it
in the future. As for now, I am
prepping the car for this coming weekend at Carlisle, PA.
Hopefully we'll get that amazing weather like we did on the Southern
Maryland Tour.
