NCC Volunteer Spotlight

Der Bayerische is happy to welcome Philippe as one of our new Co-Editors.
dB had the pleasure of interviewing Philippe recently. Here's what he had
to say.
dB: How did you first become involved with NCC BMW CCA?
dB: What do you like best about your involvement with NCC?
Philippe: I purchased my second E30 from a gentleman who was a CCA
member. I remember being very excited to even be purchasing a BMW,
let alone an '84 Hennarot 325e. 16 BMW's later, the brand and the club will
always have a special place in my heart.
dB: Tell us about your participation in NCC's various programs.
Philippe: Until recently, I was only mildly involved, usually only attending the
Columbia social events. In the fall of 2023, I reached out when editors for the
dBwere needed. After meeting Anna, the rest was history.
dB: How did you come to be involved with der Bayerische?
Philippe: Having done significant editing in my day job, I was not prepared for
the level of work involved with each issue of the dB. The editing team
works tirelessly to produce an outstanding magazine every two months.
The attention to detail and the camaraderie amongst the editors is awesome.
dB: What is your vision for communications within and about NCC?

Philippe: The diversity!! There is literally something for everyone. Even if you
think (like me) that things might be too technical, or that you might not fit in,
or even that you aren't really a fan of people or crowds, there is something for
you in NCC. That being said, the people that make up our chapter are second
to none and would do anything for anyone.
dB: What changes would you like to see in NCC's communications or in the
chapter as a whole?
Philippe: Similar to the communications question, finding the balance
between digital and print is the future of dB.
dB: How would you suggest that newcomers become involved in NCC?
Philippe: Find your spot, there is something that will interest everyone.
Whether it is helping with editing, running the next DIY, or taking some
pressure off of Paul who runs around keeping us all in check. Get out there
and get involved!

Philippe: We are reaching a tipping point where readers are becoming more
interested in not only what pertains to them. Readers are moving to a digital
world. Getting dB to a place where the two worlds can collide would be
excellent.
