■ (Above from Left) Podium celebration for the top three GTD Pro race finishers. The Victory Celebration with Sellers and Snow and the Paul Miller M4 GT3. (Below) The Paul Miller Racing M4 GT3 at speed in the Climbing Esses. base where the races were presented on live screen video. The Corral was jointly supported by the Tarheel and National Capital Chapters of the BMW CCA. There were three exciting parade laps around the VIR circuit. Prizes given away to attendees at the corral included driving events at the BMW Performance Center and track activities hosted by both Tar Heel and National Capital chapters. The Corral doesn't happen without people working to plan the activities well before the event. Paul Seto (NCC) led the planning and kept everything moving throughout the weekend. Behind the scenes Brenda Dunlevy (Tarheel Chapter) assisted with her extensive experience from previous years. Bill Patterson also came to the corral to complete another of his excellent motorsports works of art that was auctioned for charity. We'd like to offer our appreciation to Liqui Moly for providing the drinks for the entire event. The BMW CCA Corral had arranged for paddock group visits to Turner, November I December 2024 Paul Miller and CarBahn. The visits with the teams are always special. Each one handles the time differently. At Turner we always see Will Turner (team owner) and the entire team group. This year BMW NA Motorsport Manager Adam McGregor was present for the visit. McGregor provided us with a new piece of information. BMW has just announced the development of a new entry level race car, the M2CS Race. The new detail was that the car will be powered by a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. BMW has not raced a 4-cylinder powered car in many years. This choice was made based on weight and balance. At Paul Miller, we met with the two drivers, so we got their perspective on the upcoming race. Since the BoP has been relatively stable for some time it seems to me that the drivers and teams are able to adapt and achieve better performance. Snow and Sellers didn't agree with me, not wanting to imply that they ever had the BoP in their thoughts. 19
