The Angola Experience: End-of-Life Care in Corrections Professionals attending NHPCO's 2018 Interdisciplinary Conference will have an unprecedented opportunity to learn about and experience end-of-life care in a maximum security correctional facility when they visit the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola. On Wednesday, November 7, a limited number of participants will travel to Angola for a full day experience. Among the activities planned, participants will learn from prison officials and hospice volunteer inmates involved in providing hospice care in this unique end-oflife care setting.
