Ramon, 57, is living with esophageal cancer and gets his daily inspiration from Petrece, the love of his life. The June wedding was held at the inpatient unit because Ramon lived there for five weeks before transitioning to MJHS home-based hospice care. Pastoral care coordinator Hollis Huston officiated, creative arts therapist Meredith Traver played music, social worker Abby Nathanson provided flowers and cake, and other members of Ramon's care team witnessed the nuptials and later showered the couple with playful bubbles.
