NEWS Get on " The GO! " to happier customers Fed: Community banks delivered relief, support A Federal Reserve survey reveals that small businesses that worked with community banks in 2020 report the highest rates of satisfaction and approval rates. The 2021 Small Business Credit Survey, released in August, shows 61% of small businesses and 42% of non-employer firms-small businesses that only employ the owners-were satisfied with the support they received from their small banks. This beat out credit unions (48% and 39%, respectively) and was far higher than the satisfaction rates of small businesses that worked with large banks (41% and 29%) and online lenders (18% and 28%). Small businesses were also more likely to receive all of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans they sought. Among surveyed PPP applicants, 78% of small businesses and 63% of non-employer firms received all the necessary funding with small banks compared with large banks (70% and 52%) and credit unions (63% and 46%). And small businesses were able to rely most on community banks. They had the highest approval rates for loans, lines of credit and cash advances to small businesses. * Redefine Digital Banking and Keep Your Customers Better Connected * * * *
