PATTY BERG
Patty Berg and her family frequently visited Madden's on Gull
Lake, where she was entertained by the late Judy Madden Perrizo,
daughter of Jack and Peg Madden, in the original Madden resort
home, the " Red House " cottage. Unquestionably the greatest
golfer to hail from Minnesota, Berg was thrice named AP's
Women Athlete of the Year, won 28 amateur and 57 professional
tournaments (including 15 majors) and gained admittance to
a dozen sports hall of fames, including being inducted in the
inaugural class of the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame.
