Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame plaque for her late husband, Eddie, during the ceremonial
induction of the class of 2023, May 9 at the MGA-PGA Minnesota
Golf Hall of Fame at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. Along
with Manderville, the 2023 class included Gerald " Jerry " Gruidl, Don
Herfort, Solomon Hughes Sr., Johnny Lakotas, Eleanor Lightner,
David Nordeen, Jeff Sorenson and John Steiner. (See the Minnesota

Noble Named
MGA Women's
Golf Manager
The MGA has announced the hiring of Holly Noble as its
Women's Golf Manager, effective May 20. The 37-year-old
Richfield native will be responsible for the administration
of MGA's women's championships, USGA qualifiers, events
and special programs intended to grow participation among
female golfers.
" Holly's playing, coaching and nonprofit leadership experience
make her a great fit for this role, " says Jon Mays, MGA
executive director and COO. " We anticipate her bringing a
fresh perspective that will enhance the experience for beginner
and championship golfers alike. "
For Noble, who was recently inducted to Owatonna High
School's Athletics Hall of Fame, golf and family memories
run deep-but it was hockey that brought her to the
University of St. Thomas, where she played in more than
40 games as a freshman and sophomore. As a golfer at
St. Thomas, she was named MIAC Player of the Year and
Rookie of the Year, and she set a conference record for lowest
individual score in MIAC tournament history.
Noble earned both an undergraduate degree and a
NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship
Stillwater native Ben Warian was the only individual to advance
through regional qualifying on May 15 and into the NCAA
Division I Men's Golf Championship, May 17-22 at Omni La Costa
Resort in Carlsbad, California, thanks to a final-round 5-underpar
65. Warian, advancing to the DI championship for the first
time in his career, went on to post a four-round score of 4-over
292, finishing in a tie for 25th place.

Master of Arts in International Leadership at the University
of St. Thomas. Presently, she is the head coach of both the
Richfield High School girls' junior varsity and the Holy
Angels girls' varsity golf teams. Not coincidently, Noble's
combined coaching and team-building approach reflects a
conference-wide initiative among athletic directors to create
better competitive experiences for all athletes. Holy Angels
earned a berth at the state tournament in 2023 for the first
time in school history, and it was one of the reasons why
Noble was named Section 4AA Coach of the Year.
