Minnesota Golf Course
Superintendents Association, MGCSA
The objective of the MGCSA is to advance

The CMAA is the professional association
for managers of private membership clubs.
It promotes friendly relations among people

Trans-Mississippi Golf Association
Founded in 1900, the Trans-Mississippi
Golf Association is one of the oldest and
most prestigious golf organizations in the

The First Tee
The First Tee was established to impact
the lives of young people around the world
by creating affordable and accessible
golf facilities to primarily serve those not
previously exposed to the game and its

Association, MPGA
Explore Minnesota
Golf Alliance, EMGA
The purpose of the MPGA is to both promote
interest in the sport and to conserve the
true spirit of the game of golf. For more

The EMGA is a rapidly growing statewide
organization that promotes the Minnesota
golf experience to those outside of the

Ben Greve Wins
Walter J. Travis
Invitational
The Walter J. Travis Invitational,
an annual mid-amateur match-play
dating back to 1902 and hosted by the
Garden City Golf Club in Garden City,
New York, enjoyed an all-Minnesotan
championship final between former
Gopher teammates Ben Greve and
David Morgan on May 19. Greve, who
was the second seed in stroke-play
qualifying, won his fourth consecutive
match thanks to a 1-up victory
over Morgan. The two were part of the
Gopher men's program that won the
NCAA DI Championship in 2002 by
four shots over Georgia Tech.
The Fairway Foundation
The Fairway Foundation uses the game
of golf to teach lifetime values and skills
to youth who would not otherwise have
an opportunity to be exposed to the game.

Association, PLGA
The PLGA is an organization that provides
camaraderie and competitive events for

The Ladies Professional Golf
Association, LPGA
The Ladies Professional Golf Association
encompasses both the LPGA Tour and
the LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals.

include programs intended to advance
golfers with an emphasis on women's

Minnesota Minority Junior Golf
Association, MMJGA
The MMJGA sponsors a Caddie Program,
which gives young people a chance to
discover golf and earn income at the same
time. Teens in the program learn how to
play golf and are afforded an opportunity to
earn income, respect, confidence and free
rounds of golf by working as caddies. Go to
