On July 22, a massive car
bomb (similar to the one used
to attack the federal building
in Oklahoma City in 1995) exploded
in downtown Oslo, blowing
out windows in the prime
minister's offi ce and damaging
the fi nance and oil ministries. The
attack killed eight people and
injured dozens. But the terror had
just begun.
In shock, Wiee and hundreds
of his fellow campers used their
cell phones to try contacting family
and friends. Just 30 minutes
later, about two hours after the
bombing, Wiee heard shots ring
out on the island.
