Norway has earned one of 24 spots in the fi nals of global cooking contest Bocuse d'Or,
hailed as one of the most prestigious gastronomical competitions in the world and
frequently referred to as the culinary equivalent of the Olympic Games. In June, 28-yearold
Norwegian chef Christian André Pettersen took home the gold medal for his country
at Bocuse d'Or Europe, one of the competition's pre-selection events, held alongside
semi-fi nal competitions in the Americas, Asia-Pacifi c and Africa. This is Norway's second
gold medal at Bocuse d'Or Europe and its 14th time on the podium. Sweden and Denmark
took second and third place, launching three Scandinavian countries to the World Finale,
