NordicLife Culture + Taste + History + Events + Personalities Close Encounters Located just east of Jotunheimen National Park in southern Norway, the Espedalen valley is home to Europe's largest moose migration route. The world's first moose observation tower recently opened near Lake Ramstjern in Espedalen, standing 12 meters high and giving visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature without disturbing the wildlife. Its simple wooden design includes large bay windows and an observation deck, which offers aerial views of the forest landscape. The tower accommodates up to eight people for an overnight stay, so naturelovers can enjoy watching wolves, elk and, of course, moose in their natural habitat during this one-of-a-kind experience. elgtarn.no sonsofnorway.com VIKING MARCH 2019 7 PHOTO BY SAM HUGHEShttp://www.elgtarn.no http://www.sonsofnorway.com
