NABP Inspection Findings: Insights From VPP
In the past year, for example, NABP's data
Since 2013, the NABP Verified Pharmacy
Program® (VPP®) has been offered to
pharmacies, and it is now the most widely
recognized multistate, uniform inspection
program accepted by state boards of pharmacy
across the nation. A snapshot of collected data
from VPP inspection findings - and from
the Supply Chain Inspection program - is
now available and presents some questions
and insights for boards of pharmacy and state
regulators to reflect on.
show that 65% of pharmacies are performing
medium-risk sterile compounding. However,
only 74% of inspected pharmacies have staff
visually checking their compounded product
for particulates against a light- and darkcolored
background as a condition of release.
