NABP Annual Meeting
Executive Committee Officers' Reports Highlight Past Year's Successes, Share New NABP Goals
NABP members came together for a
dynamic 119th
Annual Meeting in Nashville,
TN, and embraced the theme " Framing a
New Practice Mindset. "
Over 400 attendees represented the
active member boards of pharmacy,
associate member boards, government
agencies, and other key stakeholders.
They participated in important business
proceedings, attended continuing
pharmacy education (CPE) activities, and
networked with peers. Attendees also had
the opportunity to engage with keynote
speaker Dr Drew Pinsky following his
keynote conversation with NABP Executive
Director/Secretary Lemrey " Al " Carter,
PharmD, MS, RPh. The two discussed
the landscape of addiction medication
treatment in the context of the opioid
epidemic, as well as Pinsky's insights from
his experience treating patients recovering
from opioid use disorder.
Recipients of the 2023 NABP
Leadership Awards were recognized for
their determination and dedication to
protecting public health during a business
session and honored in a luncheon and
awards ceremony.
Board of pharmacy delegates elected
officers and members to the NABP
Executive Committee and voted to adopt
six resolutions that were presented at the
119th
Annual Meeting.

Protection During 119th
Annual Meeting
The 2023 NABP Leadership Awards were presented to seven individuals at the 119th
Annual
Meeting. The recipients were recognized for their determination and dedication in supporting
NABP's continued efforts to assist the state boards of pharmacy in protecting the public health.
* 2023 NABP Carmen A. Catizone Honorary President Award: Terry Talbott, RPh
* 2023 NABP President's Award: Reginald B. " Reggie " Dilliard, DPh
* 2023 Lester E. Hosto Distinguished Service Award: Andrew Funk, PharmD, RPh
* 2023 John F. Atkinson Service Award: Alexandra E. Blasi, JD, MBA
* 2023 Henry Cade Memorial Award: Robert Eugene Braylock, PharmD, MBA, RPh,
and Aaron Graham
* 2023 Fred T. Mahaffey Award: South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing,
and Regulation - Board of Pharmacy

Delegates Approve Six Resolutions
Each year, resolutions are presented, discussed, and voted
upon at the NABP Annual Meeting. Resolutions formally
state the membership's stance on important issues related to
pharmacy practice and regulation and often encourage the
Association to take further action.

Constitutional Amendments Approved
Two technical amendments to the NABP Constitution
were discussed and passed by voting delegates
during the Final Business Session. The Report of
the Committee on Constitution and Bylaws is
