AROUND THE ASSOCIATION
Executive Officer Changes
* Sara Trimmer, PharmD, RPh,
has been named executive secretary
of the Pennsylvania State Board
of Pharmacy, replacing Melanie
Zimmerman, RPh. Trimmer began
her professional journey at Eckerd
Drugs, where she developed a deep
understanding of retail pharmacy.
She also gained valuable experience
working at Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy,
Express Scripts, and, most recently,
Green Thumb Industries. Throughout
her career, Trimmer has held numerous
roles - from cashier and pharmacy
technician to pharmacy manager - that
equipped her with a comprehensive
skill set and understanding of both the
technical and managerial aspects of
pharmacy practice. Trimmer earned
her doctor of pharmacy degree from
the University of the Sciences
in Philadelphia.
* Tyler Laetsch, PharmD, RPh, has
been named the executive director/
secretary of the South Dakota
Board of Pharmacy, replacing Kari
Shanard-Koenders, MSJ, RPh, upon
her retirement. Laetsch began his
pharmacist career in north-central
Nebraska, working for two critical
access hospitals and an independent
retail pharmacy. In 2018, Laetsch
became an inspector for the Board.
As an inspector, he was also a
preceptor for many South Dakota
State University College of Pharmacy
students. Laetsch holds a doctor
of pharmacy degree from
Creighton University.
Board Member Appointments
* Andrew Meador, CPhT, has
been appointed a member of
the Indiana Board of Pharmacy.
Meador's appointment will
expire September 30, 2027.
* Catherine " Kate " Snedeker
has been appointed a consumer
member of the Indiana Board of
Pharmacy. Snedeker's appointment
will expire September 30, 2027.
* David Collins, PharmD, has
been appointed a member
of the Louisiana Board of
Pharmacy. Collins' appointment
will expire June 30, 2030.
* Robert J. " Joey " McLaughlin, Jr,
RPh, has been appointed a member
of the North Carolina Board of
Pharmacy. McLaughlin's appointment
will expire April 30, 2026.
* Amy Kirkbride, RPh, has been
appointed a member of the
Oregon Board of Pharmacy.
Kirkbride's appointment will
expire June 30, 2028.
* Victoria Kroeger, RPh, has been
appointed a member of the Oregon
Board of Pharmacy. Kroeger's
appointment will expire July 1, 2028.
* Ana Pinedo, CPhT, has been appointed
a member of the Oregon Board of
Pharmacy. Pinedo's appointment
will expire February 16, 2028.
* Kelly Hasty Kale, RPh, has been
appointed a member of the Virginia
Board of Pharmacy. Kale's appointment
will expire June 30, 2028.
* Derek Webb, PharmD, RPh, has
been appointed a member of the
Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Webb's
appointment will expire June 30, 2028.
Board Member Reappointments
* Steven Anderson, RPh, has
been reappointed a member of
the Indiana Board of Pharmacy.
Anderson's appointment will
expire September 30, 2027.
* Matthew Balla, RPh, has been
reappointed a member of the Indiana
Board of Pharmacy. Balla's appointment
will expire September 30, 2027.
* Mark Smosna, RPh, has been
reappointed a member of the
Indiana Board of Pharmacy.
Smosna's appointment will expire
September 30, 2027.
