Volunteer to
Serve on ACE
Are you interested in working with
peers to advise on the development and
administration of NABP examinations?
Now is the time to volunteer to
serve on the Advisory Committee on
Examinations (ACE).
Each ACE appointment is for a threeyear
term, beginning June 1, 2023. ACE
convenes two times a year to:
* consider policy matters related to
NABP examination programs;
* evaluate exam planning strategies; and
* recommend actions to the NABP
Executive Committee on exam issues.

To be considered as an affiliated member for ACE, an individual must be a current
member or administrative officer of an active member board of pharmacy or have
served within the last five years as a member or administrative officer of an active
member board of pharmacy.
Open positions on ACE are determined by the current composition of the
committee and in accordance with NABP policy. Currently, there are two open
positions on ACE. Interested individuals are asked to submit a written statement
of interest and a current résumé or curriculum vitae to NABP Executive Director/
Secretary Lemrey " Al " Carter at NABP Headquarters, 1600 Feehanville Drive,
Mount Prospect, IL 60056, or via email to ExecOffice@nabp.pharmacy no later
than December 31, 2022.

NABP Launches Accreditation Program for Health Care Merchants
which serves as a fraud-proof indicator
of a website's legitimacy for patients.
The NABP Healthcare Merchant
NABP is pleased to announce the launch of
its newly rebranded Healthcare Merchant
Accreditation program. Launched in 2014
as the .Pharmacy Top-Level Domain
Program, its purpose was and continues to
be to implement a system for online safety
and oversight that provides patients access to
accurate medical information as well as safe,
legitimate sources for virtual health care
and online medication purchasing. A core
component of the program, both now and
then, is the Association's careful allocation
and management of the " .pharmacy "
domain required for accreditation,

Accreditation serves a wide range of
businesses in the international pharmacy
and health care industries. The annual
accreditation is awarded to merchants that
are properly licensed and follow applicable
laws and best practices in the jurisdictions
where they do business. An active
.pharmacy domain is still a requirement
for accreditation, just as it was when the
program originally launched. However, the
process has been streamlined to separate
the domain name request process from the
accreditation application process. Now,
once a business completes the Healthcare
Merchant Application and has been found
eligible under the program standards, it will
complete a separate request to facilitate the
issuance of a .pharmacy domain name.

Businesses that earn accreditation
under the newly named program
will meet the same requirements and
standards, regardless of revisions to the
program name. Organizations that were
accredited prior to the rebranding will
be transitioned seamlessly into the new
program. Accredited businesses can
leverage their status to meet requirements
set by online advertising platforms
and search engines, or credit card
networks, ultimately exhibiting their
safety and trustworthiness to consumers,
businesses, and other organizations.
