Session 6 THE THINK TANK RESULTS In the final session of the think tank activity, participants indicated multiple barriers and drivers surrounding corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. As with the session on technology, the participants were asked to generate and list these ideas without considering the confines of an ability to control for them. From the lists of barriers and drivers identified, participants then were asked to identify the top three controllable barriers (and ways to mitigate or eliminate these barriers), and the top three controllable drivers (and ways to leverage or strengthen them). The three top controllable barriers that emerged from this session of the think tank included: 1. clearly articulate the " why " ; 2. training; and 3. food insecurity and lack of institutional ownership. Participants also identified three top controllable drivers: 1. campus expectations for sustainability; 2. sustainability as part of the RFP process; and 3. identifying and applying for grants. Below are the results and an explanation of these findings. 123
