beginning of the Spring 2021 semester and has made an immediate impact. Since the beginning of the semester, Dining & Culinary has doubled the number of mobile orders it processes due in large part to the new options. Customer satisfaction has also increased with the average service rating increasing from 4.4 to 4.6 (on a scale of 1-5). Dining & Culinary's student brand ambassador program has also played a role in the successful rollout through social media marketing efforts. The brand ambassador team, consisting of six students, works under the supervision of a Dining & Culinary staff member to plan and execute a significant part of the department's social media strategy. The brand ambassadors have supplemented the mobile ordering program with how-to videos and posts to raise awareness of their options and teach students how to use the mobile ordering system. The mobile ordering process remains compliant with current health and safety guidelines imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes to health and safety guidelines may provide additional opportunities to enhance the mobile ordering process. Dining & Culinary has collaborated with the senior capstone design class annually since 2004. Previous partnerships have helped Dining & Culinary refine customer traffic flow and address workflow and layout efficiencies. Dining & Culinary continues to work with capstone class students on an additional project during the spring semester.
